Formula E – Season 12

Dateline Sanya – June 20th  2026

FE Reports: Jake Dennis and Felipe Drugovich finished as they'd started - with plenty of drama in-between - in the Lianxin Sanya E-Prix Round 11, sealing American team Andretti's first 1-2 in the Championship. The pair steered through a Red Flag and two Full Course Yellows having led away from the front row of the grid. Going later in Attack proved to be the way to go as they stamped their authority on the race having dropped into the pack midway through the encounter. CUPRA KIRO's Pepe Marti produced a wonder-drive from all but last at the Red Flag restart to third in effectively just 17 racing laps. However, post-race, Drugovich was hit with five-second time penalty, thus losing his podium finish. So, Marti to second and Nyck de Vries (Mahindra Racing) inherited third position. Envision managed 12th (Eriksson) and 13th (Buemi).

Jaguar TCS Racing tells us that they extended their lead in the Teams’ World Championship to 30‑points after a chaotic Round 11. Mitch Evans lined up P3 and António Félix da Costa P12 for the 37‑lap contest on the tight Sanya street circuit. Early laps saw Evans battling firmly in the lead pack while da Costa climbed into the midfield. Midway through, rear‑end contact and a later multi‑car incident at the hairpin that brought out the red flag, meant Evans sustained damage to his rear tyres and wishbone. The team worked tirelessly to repair his car under immense time pressure, but despite their efforts Evans was forced to restart from the pit lane a lap down. Da Costa resumed in P10, with the team adjusting strategy to maximise his energy advantage.  On the restart, da Costa delivered a standout performance. Using his Attack Mode deployments to full effect, he worked his way through the field to lead the race by lap 24, pulling a gap of over two seconds. Despite a controversial five‑second penalty for contact, he continued to fight at the front, rotating positions with other leading drivers in successive phases. Evans, meanwhile, battled on but ultimately retired. Da Costa crossed the line in P2 after 37 laps, but was classified P4 once the penalty was applied ‑ a decision the team is disappointed by.

Dateline Monaco – May 17th 2026

Formula E notes: Nissan's Oliver Rowland assembled the perfect E-Prix to seal victory in Round 10 in Monaco - navigating the drama to lead home Felipe Drugovich (Andretti) and Antonio Felix da Costa (Jaguar TCS Racing). Rowland started eighth and came to the fore late on as the Attack Mode activations shook out - with the top 10 shuffling and squabbling relentlessly for position throughout the opening half of the race. The Nissan driver had been strong managing his energy, navigated the pack and picked his way through to the lead down at the Nouvelle Chicane on Lap 23 of 28. Eriksson was seventh and Buemi 17th.

Says JTCSR: António Félix da Costa claimed a remarkable third‑place finish in Round 10 in Monaco. Despite the Jaguar TCS Racing #13 starting second on the grid, the Portuguese driver was spun round by Mahindra’s Edoardo Mortara on the first lap and dropped to P16. Clever strategy and decisive overtakes, however, saw António surge back through the field and onto the podium, his third of the season, in an incredible comeback drive at the Monaco E‑Prix. Jaguar TCS Racing team‑mate Mitch Evans was just behind after a strong drive to finish fourth.

Dateline Monaco – May 16th 2026

Formula E tells us: Mahindra Racing's Nyck de Vries kept his cool around the tight and twisty streets of Monaco to claim his fifth ABB Formula E World Championship race victory, ahead of Jaguar Racing's Mitch Evans and CUPRA KIRO's Pepe Marti. The Dutch driver started on the front row of the grid, eventually taking the lead of the race with a perfectly executed PIT BOOST Strategy, which saw him finish the E-Prix with a comfortable gap to the chasing pack. Envision drivers Sebastien Buemi and Joel Eriksson were fifth and sixth respectively.

Says JTCSR: Jaguar TCS Racing’s Mitch Evans scored a strong second‑place at the Monaco E‑Prix to move into the lead of the Drivers’ World Championship. Through a combination of strong qualifying, consistent race pace and decisive strategy, he took his fifth podium finish in seven races to take a 15‑point lead in the Drivers’ standings.

At the start, António made excellent progress to climb three places in the opening five laps. A brief Safety Car period did not curtail his progress, passing Mitch after the restart to take fourth as both cars ran in the top‑five. On Lap 15, Mitch boxed to take his mandatory Pit Boost stop while António took his Attack Mode to climb into the lead of the race two laps later. When António took his Pit Boost on Lap 20 he rejoined in the lead, but was passed by de Vries and team‑mate Mitch who were both in Attack Mode. The top‑three ran close together, but were caught by pole‑sitter Ticktum who opted for a late Attack Mode deployment. Despite passing António in Attack Mode, he was vulnerable to the Jaguar TCS Racing #13’s superior pace which set up a battle for the final spot on the podium in the closing stages. As Antonio made his move, he was hit by the Cupra Kiro driver at the Nouvelle Chicane and forced to retire. A subsequent Full Course Yellow stabilized the race with Mitch settling for second.

Dateline Berlin – May 3rd 2026

Says Formula E: Jaguar TCS Racing's Mitch Evans timed his push to perfection to take victory at Tempelhof ahead of reigning champion Oliver Rowland (Nissan) and Porsche's Pascal Wehrlein. The New Zealander started 17th and clambered to the top six by the end of the first round of Attack Mode activations with energy in-hand. Mitch continued to seal the deal and his 16th race win in Formula E - more than any other driver in the series' history.

Jaguar Racing comments: Mitch Evans produced one of the stand‑out drives of the season in Round 8 of the championship, charging from a P17 start to win the Berlin E‑Prix at the Tempelhof Street Circuit. In a race defined by heavy energy saving, four‑wide pack racing and constant position changes, Evans executed a perfectly judged strategy that left him with a strong energy profile and ability to control the race from the front. After opting to compromise qualifying to save tyres for the race, Mitch started from P17 on the grid – and in the early laps he waited patiently for the right point to move forward. A decisive six‑minute Attack Mode stint then launched him from P18 into the lead fight, and by lap 27 he emerged at the front with more energy than every rival behind him. A second late Attack Mode activation gave him the tools to retake the lead and hold firm through the closing laps to secure his second win of the season. António Félix da Costa showed strong pace and exceptional energy efficiency throughout, running as high as P2 and battling amongst an aggressive lead‑pack. His race unravelled late after contact from Porsche’s Nico Muller caused a puncture and forced a late pit stop, dropping him to P18 despite an otherwise competitive and strategically sharp performance.

Dateline Berlin – May 2nd 2026

Formula E notes: Nico Mueller measured a perfect drive in the "Pink Pig" 99X Electric to seal a first Formula E win on home soil in Round 7. Mueller led home Citroen Racing's Nick Cassidy and Nissan's reigning champion Oliver Rowland at the site of his title triumph. A fascinating tactical encounter with Pit Boost saw the race lead change hands between several drivers, with engineers scrabbling to balance outright pace and energy use around Tempelhof's uniquely challenging track surface. Mueller found himself inside the top 10 up to the pit stops, having started sixth, and pushed hard when he emerged from the pit lane to hit the front on Lap 29.

JTCSR reports: Jaguar TCS Racing delivered a determined performance in Berlin, securing a valuable double‑points finish despite a challenging qualifying session and extreme heat that pushed drivers and cars hard. António Félix da Costa started P9 and Mitch Evans P14, with both drivers initially dropping back to conserve energy. This disciplined early phase saw António with one of the strongest energy profiles in the field, and he cycled towards the front after stopping for Pit Boost early. In contrast, Mitch executed one of the latest stops in the pack, emerging with enough energy to attack in the closing stages. On lap 29, both Mitch and António took their Attack Modes, which saw them running P5 and P6 respectively the following lap. In the final laps and as others used their Attack Modes, Mitch defended firmly to secure sixth place, even after light front‑wing contact, while António used his remaining energy advantage to reclaim tenth on the last lap.

Dateline Madrid – March 21st 2026

FE Reports: Antonio Felix da Costa produced Pit Boost perfection on the way to the win in Formula E's first race in Madrid, heading home teammate Mitch Evans for a Jaguar TCS Racing one-two - narrowly ahead of Porsche's Pascal Wehrlein. Da Costa had started third and was first to jump into the pits for his stop on Lap 12. He pushed through the laps to take Attack Mode late on - matching up those around him out-front as the Pit Boost stops shook out. That teed up a real sprint to the finish with da Costas mirrors full of the fast-charging CUPRA KIRO of Ticktum on home soil for the Spanish car brand. The Brit made a stunning move stick around the outside of Wehrlein, with Evans following for P3 at the final chicane. Evans then spotted his chance to go and sliced by Ticktum to take the fight for victory to teammate da Costa. The Kiwi thought the win was his, but he couldn't quite make a move stick with da Costa placing his Jaguar in all the right places to hold on to first place.

Jaguar TCS Racing tells us that they delivered a landmark performance in Madrid. In a race packed with strategy, resilience and precision, Antonio Félix da Costa claimed victory in what was his 150th Formula E start and only his sixth race with the team. Mitch Evans charged from P16 on the grid to second place, securing Jaguar TCS Racing’s first 1–2 finish since Monaco in Season 10. By the closing stages, Evans held a decisive energy advantage over the cars around him, enabling him to climb from ninth to the podium places in the final laps and ultimately secure P2 on the penultimate lap. Despite a clean getaway for both drivers, early contact on lap three forced da Costa wide and dropped him to seventh. Undeterred, he fought back to fifth by lap five and executed a perfectly timed early Pit Boost at the end of lap 11. The strategic call allowed him to undercut the field and emerge as the effective race leader once the pit cycle unfolded. Evans, meanwhile, used the fallout from the pit window to leap forward, briefly leading the race before taking his own stop on lap fifteen. From there, da Costa reclaimed the lead with a decisive overtake on Max Günther on lap 17 and maintained his advantage even while taking Attack Mode. With both Jaguar drivers holding more usable energy than their closest rivals, the final laps became a showcase of the team’s strategic strength. Evans surged into the podium fight, climbing to second with a lap to go, while da Costa held firm to take the chequered flag.

Dateline Jeddah – February 14th 2026

Says Formula E: Antonio Felix da Costa and Jaguar TCS Racing nailed their race strategy to stride to the race win in Round 5, with the Portuguese leading Sebastien Buemi home and reigning champion Oliver Rowland rounding out the podium. Several drivers cycled the race lead in an energy-critical race, with Buemi one of those, using an Attack Mode overlap to best Rowland who had also led early on.

JTCSR reports: Jaguar TCS Racing capped off a remarkable weekend in Jeddah with a historic victory from António Félix da Costa and a strong P7 finish for Mitch Evans. Starting from third on the grid, da Costa immediately established himself in the lead fight, engaging in clean, hard racing with the front group as he carefully managed energy. By mid-race, his pace and efficiency put him in a powerful position, and a perfectly timed Attack Mode deployment allowed him to seize the lead and build a decisive gap. Da Costa controlled the closing stages, extending his lead to more than three seconds and taking a brilliant victory   the 13th win of his Formula E career. The result also marked a Jaguar powertrain 1–2 finish, with Sébastien Buemi finishing second for customer team Envision Racing.

Starting from P13, Mitch Evans delivered an impressive climb through the field. His first Attack Mode was used to great effect, propelling him into the top eight within a single lap. Smart energy management and well-judged overtakes kept him firmly in the points, and a late second Attack Mode push helped him secure P7 at the flag. The win makes Jaguar the most successful team in Formula E history with 24 race wins since joining the championship 10 years ago.

 Dateline Jeddah – February 13th 2026

Says Formula E: Porsche's Pascal Wehrlein sealed a perfectly-executed victory in his 100th E-Prix, timing his Pit Boost and Attack Mode just right to head home Mahindra Racing's Edoardo Mortara and Jaguar Racing driver Mitch Evans. Wehrlein had started the race third and went later than those around him with his 50kW, all-wheel drive Attack Mode boost coming after his Pit Boost stop. The overlap allowed him to pull some eight seconds on those behind heading into the closing stages of the race.

JTCSR reports: Jaguar TCS Racing delivered a superb double‑points finish in Round 4. After starting P10 and P6 respectively, both drivers navigated a chaotic opening phase that included a delayed start and a Safety Car. Once racing resumed, da Costa immediately went on the attack, climbing into the top eight, while Evans focused on energy conservation to position himself strongly for the second half of the race. As the field remained tightly bunched, both Jaguar TCS Racing drivers executed a perfectly timed strategy: da Costa took an early Pit Boost and Attack Mode to climb back through the pack, while Evans stayed out longer, cycling into the lead before making his own clean stop. Da Costa surged into the podium positions with a series of decisive overtakes, while Evans rejoined in the top ten and quickly climbed through the pack. In the closing stages, both drivers fought at the front, with Evans moving into the top three and da Costa supporting the team’s strategy by allowing Mitch to maximise his Attack Mode advantage. After a final exchange of positions in the lead group, Evans crossed the line in third place, with da Costa securing P5.

Dateline Miami – January 31st 2026

Formula E reports: Jaguar TCS Racing's Mitch Evans produced a storming switchback move to take the race lead and drive away to the win in difficult conditions in Miami, as the Kiwi took to the top step - heading Porsche's Nico Mueller and Pascal Wehrlein home. The Sunshine State was hit by changeable conditions ahead of Round 3 of 2025/26, and the wet weather extracted every ounce of talent and concentration from the 20-car Formula E field over a testing 41-lap race.

Says JTCSR: Jaguar TCS Racing’s Mitch Evans took his first win of the 2025/26 Championship at the Miami E‑Prix, climbing from ninth on the grid on a damp track to take a memorable victory. It marked the Kiwi’s 15th career win in Formula E, all with Jaguar, meaning he’s now taken the most victories in the championship’s 11‑year history. The Jaguar TCS Racing #9 driver also took the fastest lap, confirming his peerless form in difficult conditions. The race got underway behind the Safety Car following rainfall just before the start, but after four laps the cars lined up on the grid for a standing start. A number of cars deployed their first Attack Mode early amid damp track conditions to create a gap to the rest of the field, but António and Mitch’s strong pace ensured they held onto the lead group throughout the opening stages and each with eight minutes of Attack Mode still to take.

From sixth, António decisively used his first Attack Mode on lap 15 and was able to move into first place over the next two laps, before Mitch moved up four places from seventh after taking two minutes of Attack Mode on Lap 19. The Jaguar TCS Racing duo then battled Nico Müller for the lead, with Mitch overtaking António before expertly snatching the lead from the Porsche driver on the run out of the final corner on lap 27. António’s bid for a first Jaguar podium had been compromised a lap earlier, when he was hit by Andretti’s Felipe Drugovich after the Brazilian outbraked himself into the last corner. Drugovich was given a ten‑second penalty for the contact and although António was able to continue, his Jaguar I‑TYPE 7 was heavily damaged by the collision, causing him to drop down the field to eighth place.

At the front, Mitch managed to take his second Attack Mode and stay in front of Müller’s Porsche all the way to the flag, taking the fastest lap of the race en route to his first victory of the campaign.

Dateline Mexico City – January 10th 2026

FE reports: Citroen Racing's Nick Cassidy made up 12 positions in a calculated, pitch-perfect drive to head home Edoardo Mortara (Mahindra Racing) and reigning champion Oliver Rowland (Nissan) for a win in only the French giant's second race in Formula E. Cassidy is a master at picking exactly the right moment to pounce and make use of the two 50kW, all-wheel drive ATTACK MODE power boosts. Despite severe pressure from the Mahindra driver, Cassidy held on for more silverware after his P3 in the Sao Paulo season-opener, with Mortara's mirrors full of reigning champion Rowland through the sweeping final turn as the top five crossed the line within a second of one-another.

Says JTCSR: Mitch Evans started Round 2 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in fourth position after qualifying strongly. Evans slipped into the midfield after early ATTACK MODE deployments from elsewhere on the grid, defending hard in the opening phases. Mitch took an impressive first ATTACK MODE later into the race, gaining five places to briefly take the lead. However, after Mitch missed his second ATTACK MODE activation the team adjusted their strategy and held off on another attempt for the optimal moment, but he was unable to make the places back. With the continued midfield traffic and contact resulting in a puncture meant he ultimately finished in P11.

António Félix da Costa started from tenth position and after taking an early ATTACK MODE was able to shuffle up the order, climbing to P4. However light contact with Mahindra Racing’s Mortara dropped him back. A Full Course Yellow and subsequent Safety Car followed, disrupting the race rhythm, with da Costa suffering steering issues after being forced off‑line into the grass. Further contact later forced him to pit and retire.

Dateline Sao Paulo – December 6th 2025

Formula E reports: Andretti's Jake Dennis started on pole and converted to the win in the 2025 Google Cloud São Paulo E-Prix Round 1, though it was anything but lights-to-flag in a hectic 30-lap race. The Brit kept in touch with the leaders throughout as he played the waiting game before making it by the Citroen of Nick Cassidy - who'd flown through the pack with a late charge - for what would be the definitive move on Lap 27. A huge shunt for rookie Pepe Marti (CUPRA KIRO) - who flew spectacularly over the top of Jaguar's Antonio Felix da Costa - meant a late red flag and a one-lap sprint to the finish. Dennis was able to hold off reigning champion Oliver Rowland (Nissan), who'd started all the way down in 13th - and Cassidy.

Reports JTCSR: António Félix da Costa and Mitch Evans qualified strongly in São Paulo, their respective starting positions of sixth and ninth giving them both the potential for strong points finishes. At the race start, both António and Mitch avoided a first corner incident involving three other drivers, and then ran strongly towards the front of the pack as everyone managed their energy. After taking the first of their two, four‑minute, Attack Modes on lap nine, António and Mitch led the field running first and second respectively. Just before the half‑way point, Mitch began to suffer from poor balance after contact which saw him fall back, while António continued to run in the top five before taking his second Attack Mode with seven laps remaining. However, his challenge was compromised after a safety car was deployed negating his Attack Mode. As the race restarted on lap 27, António was still in contention for a top‑six finish, and Mitch immediately took his remaining Attack Mode and started to move through from P13 towards a potential strong points finish. However, Mitch’s race was ended with two laps to go after a racing incident which put him out, triggering a second safety car.  As the field slowed, Pepe Marti ran into the back of Antonio at speed, bringing out the red flag. Thankfully Pepe landed safely and António was able to return to the pits from sixth position.  Following FIA‑mandated repairs to the rear wing of his I‑TYPE 7, when the restart came – with just one lap of full‑speed racing left – António had to start from 12th which is where he finished. He was later moved up a place to 11th following a five‑second penalty for Drugovich (Andretti).
